From January 3 to January 20, the El Paso Public Library is partnering with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger and the El Paso Animal Shelter to bring you FOOD for FINES:
$1.00 waived for one non-perishable food item: CAN (corn, tomato sauce, etc.), BOX (cereal, mac & cheese, etc.), BAG (rice, beans, etc.)
$1.00 waived for one can of pet food
$2.00 waived for one pound of dry pet food (10 lb. bag of cat food = $20.00 in fines waived)
There are no limits on how many fines can be waived this year, but this applies only to fines, no damaged or lost fees will be waived.
If you do not have fines, you may still donate to help your community! We will be collecting these items in large yellow bins in front of our circulation desk.
