The Awesome Stuffed Animal Sleepover!

The animals had so much fun! They got into the cabinets and ate doughnuts. They had “Curious George goes to the zoo” read to them. They played on the computers, they also played chess and Uno! They raced on the book carts all over the library. They played the piano and got into the legos! They brushed their teeth and got ready for bed. Hope you and your animals can join us for another sleepover.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We hope that you pick up your favorite book (doesn’t have to be by Dr. Seuss) and read. That’s what Read Across America is all about: Promoting literacy! Make Dr. Seuss proud and get out there and read! Our little patrons had a blast making Dr. Seuss themed crafts. We hope that you join us for next year’s Read Across America! #ReadAcrossAmericaDay #Dr.SeussDay

Read Across America

This week we will be celebrating Read Across America which is March 2nd. This is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and it’s to promote reading in children and youth in every community across the United States. We will be celebrating all week long by featuring Dr. Seuss’s books at our Storytimes and we will have some of his characters there too.

The first Read Across America was held on March 2nd, 1998. If you want to celebrate too on social media use #ReadAcrossAmericaDay or #Dr.SeussDay.
